Richard Shirreff has over 37 years of experience as an international leader and commander. He has risen to the highest rank in the British Army and NATO. Until July 2014 he served as NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, dealing with strategic operations involving military, allied and other governments, NGOs and international organisations.

First-hand understanding of the challenges of decision making under extreme political and media pressure, and a proven record of leading dynamic change management, make him well placed to support corporate leaders in the design and execution of strategy to manage complex risks.

His book ‘War with Russia’ was published in the UK, USA and Poland in 2016, was a Sunday Times best seller and has been translated into eight languages. He is co-founder and managing partner of Strategia Worldwide, a global risk advisory company, recently acquired by Sigma7 (of which he is also Executive Vice Chairman).
